Hope Promoters

Dr. Stanley also give us what he calls "Hope Promoters"

  1. Prayer. In the story of Hannah, verses 10, 11, 15, Hannah prayed. In verse 27, her prayer was answered. Do not give up on your hopes. Instead, bring them to the Lord. Now, it may be possible that thing that you are hoping for is not in the Lord's will. If that is the case, most likely two things will happen: You'll lose interest in the thing you were hoping for, or that thing you're hoping for will turn into a struggle between you and God.
  2. Faith. Year after year, Hannah prayed to God, and her prayer was answered. If we are trusting Him, we will put our faith in Him.
  3. Perseverance. Keep on going when everything around you says "Quit".
Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing. We proudly tell God’s other churches about your endurance and faithfulness in all the persecutions and hardships you are suffering. 2 Thessalonians 1:3-4

What if our prayers are not answered the way we hoped? Start by reading the Bible, trusting God, and creating a godly atmosphere in your home. You will definitely not lose anything, but will still gain the blessings of God.

Ask, "If I'm not going to get what I hope for, Father, what is your hope for me? What are your plans for me?"
